If you are starting the business as an
- Individual

- NTN Number ( National Tax Number)
- You will need to open bank account with the same name as that of your company

Steps for Sales Tax Registration to get import export License in Pakistan
- Visit the website of Federal board of Revenue
- You will find the Online Services option on the homepage. There is an FBR Tax Pay option in this Pop-up. Below FBR Tay Option, you will find Income Tax option, click it
- A new window will open on screen. You will find the option Income Tax Return Filing for users within Pakistan. Click this option. Now, Iris Portal will open on screen.
- If you an already registered user, then you can enter your Login name and password to open your portal
- You will see the Registration option on the screen, you need to click it. The dropdown will show Form 14(1) which is a requirement for sales tax registration. Click the 14(1) option.
- Now a new page will open up which has the Information tab. You will select the non-manufacturer radio button on this tab
- Next, you will click the Bank account tab. You need to enter the bank account details. Plus, you will need to attach the Maintenance certificate from the bank. The attachment of the certificate is necessary for Sales Tax Registration so that you can get import export License
- To enter the bank account details, you will click the plus button on the screen.
- Select the account type, next click form dropdown that will allow you to select the type of account. You can refer to the maintenance certificate to fill in the bank account details
- Select the bank institution
- Enter the IBFT number
- Enter the IBAN number
- Select the relevant currency
- Select the opening date
- Select the capacity and the share from the relevant dropdowns and click ok
- The Business tab will have your business name and address. Next, you can click the Utility tab
- Click on the plus button in the utility tab
- Select the type of utility in the pop-up
- Select the Form type and enter the reference number
- Select provider and select connection date
- Click on the ok button. After clicking ok, consumer details will display on screen
- Now next is the attachment tab. You will need the following attachments:
- Bank certificate
- Utility meter picture
- Business premises picture
- Bill of Landing
- Next, click on the property tab and select the checkbox next to your address
- Click on Attribute now. Here you have the option to select temporary tax registration or permanent tax registration. For permanent registration click on the plus, select no option
- Now, click save button and submit button at the top to complete your sale tax registration to get import export license in Pakistan.
Steps for Chamber of Commerce Registration
Before registration, you must keep one thing in mind and that you will need to pay Rs 2500 to Rs 3000 annual fee for Chamber of Commerce issued certificate. The fees for issuance of Chamber of Commerce Certificate is Rs 3000 to Rs 5000.

- NTN number
- Copy of CNIC
- Sales tax returns that you can get from your lawyer
- Bank deposit slip
- Three passport-size pictures in white or blue background
- Visit the chamber of commerce website and you will find the membership form there in the Membership dropdown list. Download the form and attach the necessary documents
- Submit the file in chamber of commerce

For Partnership you will require the following additional documents also
- Authority letter from the other partner
- Partner CNIC

For Private Limited Companies the following additional documents are a requirement
- Director or Chief Executive Officer CNIC
- Original Memorandum of Articles
- Original Incorporation Certificate
- Form A
- Form 29
- Form 21
- Original Board Resolution for the Weboc ID
- Letter of authority from the director on the stamp pamper
