Eligibility Criteria
- The age should be 18 years or above for motorcycle driving or a car driving
- A person should not be physically or mentally impaired
- For LTV ( light transport vehicle) driving that includes Rikshaw and Tractor, the age of the driver should be 21 years
- For HTV( high transport vehicle) driving, the age limit should be 22 years

How to get a Learning driving license
Follow the steps below to get a Learning driving license
- Visit the DPO office. You will find the photocopiers outside office who provide paid services and they can help you fill out the learning driving license form and they usually have the photocopy of the forms. If you want to download forms online for Sindh, you can visit the website of dls.gos.pk. For Punjab, you can visit the Al-khidmat center website.
- You need to enter your National Identity card number in the form
- Enter the name of the licensing authority in the form
- Select the name of the vehicle in the form for which you need the learning driving license
- Enter your full name in the form
- Enter your father’s name in the form
- Add your permanent and temporary address in the form
- You must enter your date of birth in the form
- The date of application also needs to be entered in the form
- Add your blood group in the form
- If you acquired any driving license in the past, then the number of the license needs to be entered in the form
- The form also needs your thumbprint and signature
- Attach the national identity card copy, passport-size picture and post office tickets with the form

Sindh residents can book a pre-appointment through the dls website where they will be allocated token numbers after initial verification. The individuals need to visit the selected branch on the dls website along with their documents
- Once you visit the centers, your photograph will be taken and you can submit the documents. Finally, you will get the learning driving license print from the center.
Validity period of learning driving license
The learning driving license will be valid for a period of six months and you can apply for a regular driving license after a period of 42 days. During this period you need to get knowledge about traffic signals and rules.
