How to get travel agency license in Pakistan (2023)?

How to get travel agency license in Pakistan

  • Choose the name of your travel agency
  • Visit the DTS website to download the form for travel agency registration
  • The DTS department will counter check that your travel agency name is not already taken by another agency
  • Attach the necessary documents
  • Bank Balance certificate which should not be less than Rs 200,000
  • National Tax Number attested copy
  • Investment statement showing the liabilities and assets
  • Proof of ownership of the premises
  • If the firm is on partnership, then partnership deed is a requirement
  • If it’s a Private Limited company, then Form-29, Form-A, Article of Association, Memorandum and Association certificate certified by SECP is also a requirement
  • Office map and it should not cover an area of less than 250 sq.ft.
  • Attested NIC copies of the chief, director, partners or proprietor
  • Vehicle registration photocopy. The vehicle should be 800 cc or above
  • All the mentioned documents must be submitted to department of tour and tourism. Every district has an office.

Fees to get travel agency license in Pakistan

  • To open branch you need to pay Rs 1,50000
  • To open the agency under your own name, you will need to pay Rs 400,000

Once you submit the documents, the relevant officers from tour and tourism department will visit your office premises. Once they approve the premises, then you will need to pay the fees in the form of demand draft. Once the license gets issued, you will get license receipt also. It can take up to 25 days to 6 weeks to get travel agency license.
